How To Make Rotini Pasta with Italian Sausage and Peppers Recipe
A flavorful and hearty pasta dish with zesty Italian sausage and sweet bell peppers.

Ingredients
- 1 lb Rotini Pasta
- 4 Italian sausage links, sliced into 1/2 inch pieces
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/4 cup tomato paste
- 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp olive oil
Instructions

Cook the pasta according to the package directions, reserve 1/2 cup of the pasta water and drain the rest.

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the sliced sausages and cook until browned on both sides, about 5 minutes.

Add the onions, garlic, and bell peppers to the skillet and cook until they’re soft and browned, about 8 minutes.

Stir in the tomato paste, chicken broth, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper. Let it simmer for 10 minutes to let the flavors blend.

Add the cooked pasta to the skillet with the sausage and peppers. Toss well to coat with the sauce. If it’s too dry, add some of the reserved pasta water.

Serve hot with grated Parmesan cheese on top, if desired.
