How To Make Instant Meatballs with Penne Pasta

Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped parsley
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 1 tsp sugar
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 8 oz penne pasta
- Grated Parmesan cheese for serving
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish
Instructions

In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, chopped parsley, garlic powder, onion powder, dried oregano, salt, black pepper, milk, and egg. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.

Shape the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the meatballs and cook until browned on all sides, about 5 minutes. Remove the meatballs from the skillet and set aside.

In the same skillet, add diced onion and minced garlic. Cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add crushed tomatoes and sugar to the skillet. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Bring to a simmer.

Return the meatballs to the skillet and simmer for 15 minutes, or until cooked through.

While the meatballs are simmering, cook the penne pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Serve the meatballs and sauce over the cooked penne pasta. Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese and garnish with fresh basil leaves.
