How To Make Gnocchi Recipe

Ingredients
- 2 pounds of potatoes, boiled and mashed
- 2 cups of all-purpose flour
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 tsp of salt
- 1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup of tomato sauce
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish
Instructions

In a large bowl, combine the mashed potatoes, flour, egg, salt, and Parmesan cheese. Mix well until a dough forms.

Divide the dough into four equal parts. Roll each part into a long rope, about 1-inch thick.

Cut each rope into 1-inch pieces to form the gnocchi.

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Drop in the gnocchi and cook for 3-5 minutes, or until they float to the surface.

Drain the gnocchi and transfer them to a serving dish.

Heat the tomato sauce in a small saucepan over medium heat until warmed through. Pour the sauce over the gnocchi.

Garnish with fresh basil leaves and serve hot.
