How To Make Fiorentina Baked Pasta

Ingredients
- 8 oz penne pasta
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh basil leaves, for garnish
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the penne pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic. Sauté until the onion is soft and translucent, about 5 minutes.

Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon. Drain any excess grease.

Stir in the dried oregano, dried basil, salt, and black pepper. Cook for another 2 minutes.

Add the marinara sauce to the skillet and simmer for 5 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.

In a large baking dish, combine the cooked penne pasta and the beef mixture. Toss to evenly distribute the sauce.

Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese and grated Parmesan cheese over the pasta.

Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.

Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh basil leaves before serving.
