How To Make Creamy Linguine with Ham, Lemon & Basil

Ingredients

  • 8 oz linguine
  • 1 cup diced ham
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil leaves, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the linguine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  2. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and diced ham. Cook until the ham is lightly browned.

  3. Reduce the heat to low and add the lemon zest and heavy cream to the skillet. Stir well to combine.

  4. Add the cooked linguine to the skillet and toss to coat the pasta in the creamy sauce. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, until heated through.

  5. Remove the skillet from the heat and stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  6. Serve the creamy linguine with a garnish of fresh basil leaves.
