How To Make Classic Macaroni and Cheese

Ingredients
- 8 oz elbow macaroni
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 2 cups milk
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
Instructions

Cook the macaroni according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for 1 minute, until smooth.

Gradually whisk in the milk, salt, and black pepper. Cook, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens.

Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until melted and smooth.

Add cooked macaroni to the sauce and stir until well coated.

Serve hot and enjoy!
