Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 lb Italian sausage, casings removed
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 2 eggs

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, Italian sausage, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, milk, onion, garlic, parsley, oregano, basil, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.

  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, and eggs. Pour the sauce mixture into the meat mixture and mix until combined.

  4. Transfer the meat mixture into a greased loaf pan and smooth the top.

  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).

  6. Remove from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.

  7. Serve hot and enjoy!
