- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup chopped red onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 4 pita breads
- Tzatziki sauce, for serving
- Tomato slices, for serving
- Red onion slices, for serving
- Lettuce leaves, for serving
Instructions

In a bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, red onion, garlic, oregano, thyme, cumin, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until everything is evenly incorporated.

Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into burger patties.

Preheat grill or grill pan over medium heat. Cook the burgers for about 6-7 minutes per side, or until they reach your desired doneness.

While the burgers are cooking, warm the pita breads on the grill for about 1-2 minutes per side.
