How To Make Italian Ground Beef Casserole Recipe
A hearty Italian casserole with ground beef, tomatoes, and pasta topped with mozzarella.

Ingredients
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can diced tomatoes, drained
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 8 oz. penne pasta
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1 tsp. Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 tbsp. olive oil
Instructions

Preheat oven to 375°F.

Cook the pasta according to package instructions.

Meanwhile, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic, and sauté for 2-3 minutes or until softened.

Add the ground beef and cook for 5-7 minutes or until browned.

Drain any excess grease, then stir in the diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.

Simmer the sauce for 10 minutes, then add the cooked pasta and stir to combine.

Transfer the mixture to a casserole dish and sprinkle the mozzarella cheese on top.

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
