Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 can (15 oz) chili beans, undrained
- 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes, undrained
- 1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce
- 1 tbsp chili powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 package (8 count) hot dog buns
- 8 hot dogs
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until fully browned. Drain excess grease.

Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet with the ground beef. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, until the onion is softened.

Stir in the chili beans, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, chili powder, cumin, salt, and black pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.

While the chili is simmering, slice the hot dog buns into 1-inch cubes. Place half of the cubes in the bottom of a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.

Lay the hot dogs on top of the buns in the baking dish.

Pour the chili mixture over the hot dogs, spreading it evenly.

Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the top of the chili.

Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 30 minutes.

Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
