How To Make Cheesy Baked Grits Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of grits
  • 4 cups of water
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp of unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup of milk
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1/4 tsp of black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. In a large saucepan, bring the water to a boil. Stir in the grits and salt.

  3. Reduce the heat to low and simmer the grits, stirring occasionally, for about 5 minutes or until thickened.

  4. Remove the saucepan from the heat and add the cheddar cheese, Parmesan cheese, butter, milk, beaten eggs, and black pepper. Stir until well combined.

  5. Pour the mixture into a greased 9×9-inch baking dish and spread it out evenly.

  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes or until the top is golden brown.

  7. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
