Serves:
Ingredients
- 2 racks of pork ribs
- 2 tablespoons of brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon of paprika
- 1 tablespoon of garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon of onion powder
- 1 tablespoon of dried thyme
- 1 tablespoon of dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1 teaspoon of black pepper
- 1 cup of bourbon
- 1 cup of orange juice
- ½ cup of soy sauce
- ¼ cup of honey
Instructions
-
Preheat the oven to 325°F (160°C).
-
In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, oregano, salt, and black pepper.
-
Rub the spice mixture all over the ribs, ensuring they are well coated.
-
Place the ribs on a roasting rack in a baking dish and cover tightly with foil.
-
Roast the ribs in the oven for 1 hour.
-
In the meantime, prepare the glaze by combining the bourbon, orange juice, soy sauce, and honey in a saucepan. Bring to a simmer and cook for 10 minutes, until slightly thickened.
-
After 1 hour of roasting, remove the foil from the ribs and baste them with the bourbon and orange glaze.
-
Return the ribs to the oven, uncovered, and roast for another hour, basting with the glaze every 15 minutes.
-
Once the ribs are tender and caramelized, remove them from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
-
Serve the ribs hot, drizzled with any remaining glaze.
