Having a barbecue party soon? Then these grilled St. Louis-style ribs that are basted in rich and smoky barbecue sauce are perfect for you.

Prep: 10 mins
Cook: 3 hrs 6 mins
Total: 3 hrs 16 mins
Serves:

Ingredients

  • 4 lbs St. Louis-style pork ribs, cut into 6-inch sections
  • 2 cups barbeque sauce, or to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat one side of a gas grill to 300 degrees F.

  2. Fill a small metal can or container with water. Cover with aluminum foil; make several slits in the foil with a knife.

  3. Place on the preheated side of the grill.

  4. Place ribs bone-side up on the unheated side of the grill; close grill.

  5. Cook for 1½ hours. Flip ribs and continue cooking for about 1½ hours more until rib meat shrinks back from the bones.

  6. Baste ribs with barbeque sauce. Transfer to the heated side of the grill; cook for 2 minutes with the lid closed.

  7. Flip and baste the second side with barbeque sauce. Cook for 2 minutes with the lid closed.

  8. Flip and baste the first side with more barbeque sauce. Cook for 2 minutes with the lid closed.

  9. Serve warm and enjoy.

Recipe Notes

Either buy your ribs already with the rub on them or rub them with your choice of pork rub.
