Ingredients
- 500g ground beef
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 carrot, finely chopped
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 cup beef broth
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 kg potatoes
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).

In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Remove excess fat.

Add the onion, carrot, and garlic to the skillet and cook for 5 minutes until softened.

Stir in the beef broth, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, dried thyme, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.

Meanwhile, peel and chop the potatoes. Boil them in a pot of salted water until tender.

Drain the potatoes and mash them with butter and milk until smooth. Season with salt and pepper.

Spoon the meat mixture into individual ramekins or ovenproof dishes. Top with a layer of mashed potatoes and sprinkle with grated cheddar cheese.

Place the ramekins on a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes until the tops are golden and the filling is bubbling.
