How To Make Cinnamon Apple French Toast Casserole
Start the fall season right with this cinnamon apple French toast casserole, made with challah, half & half, and milk, then topped with a crumbly streusel.

Ingredients
For French Toast:
- 16ozchallah bread,(1 loaf) day old cubes
- 6eggs
- 1cuphalf and half
- 1cupwhole milk,or 2%
- ½cupgranulated sugar
- 2tspvanilla
- 1tspcinnamon
- 3apples,peeled and sliced thin
For Streusel:
- ⅓cupbrown sugar
- ⅓cupflour
- 1tspcinnamon
- ¼cupbutter cold,diced
For Toppings:
- powdered sugar
- maple syrup
Instructions
French Toast:

In a mixing bowl, mix the the eggs, cream, milk, sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon together. Set aside.

Grease the pan and then place ½ of the bread cubes in the bottom. Layer with ½ the sliced apples and pour about a ⅓ of the egg mixture over it.

Repeat again with the remaining bread, apples, and mixture. Cover with plastic wrap and place in the fridge overnight or for at least 4 hours.

Take the casserole out of the fridge and preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Streusel:

Mix the brown sugar, flour, and cinnamon together. Cut in the butter until crumbly.

Sprinkle on top of the toast and bake for 45 to 55 minutes. Let cool for 5 to 10 minutes before slicing.

Serve with powdered sugar and maple syrup. Enjoy!
