How To Make Baked Buffalo Wings with Blue Cheese Dip
These baked buffalo wings are baked to a crisp and coated in a rich, spicy and smoky buffalo sauce that compliments its side of creamy blue cheese dip.

Ingredients
For Wings:
- 4lbschicken wings,cut into wings and drumettes
- 4tspbaking powder,aluminum-free
- salt and freshly ground black pepper
For Buffalo Sauce:
- 3tbspunsalted butter
- 1cuphot sauce,like Frank’s Red Hot Original
- 1½tspcornstarch,optional
- 1tbsphoney
For Blue Cheese Dip (Optional):
- ⅔cupnatural sour cream
- ½cupmayonnaise
- ¼tspgarlic powder
- ¼tsponion powder
- 1tbspfresh parsley,minced
- 3ozblue cheese,finely crumbled
Instructions
Wings:

Arrange the oven racks in the upper-middle and lower-middle portion of the oven. Preheat the oven to 250 degrees F.

Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil, then set a large wire rack over the baking sheet. Spray the rack with non-stick cooking spray.

In a small bowl, whisk together the baking powder with 1 teaspoon of salt and 1 teaspoon of pepper.

Dab the chicken pieces dry with paper towels, then place in a large bowl. Sprinkle the baking powder mixture over chicken, then toss well to evenly coat. Arrange the chicken pieces on a wire rack, leaving space between each.

Bake in the oven on lower middle rack 30 minutes.

Move the wings to an upper-middle rack, and increase the oven temperature to 425 degrees F. Continue to bake for about 45 to50 minutes, until the chicken is golden brown and crisp, rotating the pan once halfway through.
Buffalo Sauce:

Whisk together cornstarch with 1 tablespoon of water until blended.

Melt the butter in a small saucepan. Add the hot sauce and honey, cover, then bring to a light simmer.

Add cornstarch mixture, then cook and stir about 20 seconds, until lightly thickened. Remove from heat, cover, and keep warm.

Place the wings in a large clean bowl, then toss with desired amount of buffalo sauce.
Blue Cheese Dip:

Mix together the sour cream, mayonnaise, garlic and onion powder, parsley, and blue cheese, then season lightly with pepper and salt, if needed.

Preferably let rest for at least 30 minutes in the refrigerator.
