How To Make Fragrant Lamb Kofta Curry

Ingredients
- 500g lamb mince
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 3 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 inch ginger, grated
- 2 green chilies, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup fresh coriander, chopped
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/2 tsp red chili powder
- Salt to taste
- 2 tbsp oil
- 1 cup tomato puree
- 1 cup coconut milk
- Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
- Cooked rice or naan bread for serving
Instructions

In a large bowl, mix together the lamb mince, chopped onion, minced garlic, grated ginger, chopped green chilies, chopped coriander, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well until all the ingredients are combined.

Shape the mixture into small round koftas and set aside.

Heat oil in a pan and fry the koftas until golden brown on all sides. Remove from the pan and set aside.

In the same pan, add the tomato puree and cook for a few minutes until the raw smell disappears.

Add the coconut milk and simmer for 5 minutes.

Return the koftas to the pan and simmer for another 10 minutes, until the koftas are cooked through and the sauce has thickened.

Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or naan bread.
