Ingredients
- 1 pre-made pie crust
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 pinch of saffron threads
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a pan, melt butter and caramelize onions over medium heat until golden brown.

Roll out pie crust and transfer to a tart pan, trimming the edges. Pierce crust with a fork.

Sprinkle saffron threads over the caramelized onions and spread mixture evenly on the pie crust.

In a bowl, whisk together eggs, heavy cream, salt, and pepper. Pour over onion mixture.

Bake for 45 minutes or until filling is set and crust is golden brown.
