How To Make Peppercorn and Caramelized Onion Burger Recipe

Juicy burgers topped with caramelized onions and a peppercorn sauce!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp black peppercorns, crushed
  • 4 hamburger buns

Instructions

  1. Preheat a grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.

  2. In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, salt, and black pepper. Form into four patties.

  3. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the onion and cook until caramelized, stirring occasionally, for about 20 minutes.

  4. While the onions are cooking, in a small bowl mix together mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and crushed black peppercorns.

  5. Grill the burgers to your desired temperature, about 4 minutes per side for medium. Toast the hamburger buns.

  6. Assemble the burgers with the peppercorn sauce and caramelized onions on top.

  7. Serve immediately.
