How To Make Nutmeg and Almond Biscotti Recipe
A tasty Italian biscuit full of nutmeg and almond flavors.
Serves:
Ingredients
- 1 cup of plain flour
- 1 tsp of baking powder
- 1/4 tsp of salt
- 1/2 tsp of ground nutmeg
- 1/4 cup of unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup of sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/2 tsp of vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup of sliced almonds
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F.

In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, salt, and nutmeg together.

In a separate bowl, cream the butter and sugar together.

Add the egg and vanilla extract and mix.

Gradually add the dry ingredients and mix until well combined.

Fold in sliced almonds.

Shape the dough into a log and place on a lined baking sheet.

Flatten the top slightly and bake for 20-25 minutes.

Remove from the oven and let cool for 10 minutes.

Using a sharp knife, cut the log into slices and arrange them on the baking sheet.

Bake for another 10-15 minutes until golden brown.
