How To Make Mace and Apple Crumble
This dessert has a sweet and spiced apple filling topped with a crunchy mace-scented crumble.

Ingredients
- 4 medium-sized apples, peeled and chopped
- 1 tbsp. lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. ground mace
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup rolled oats
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 tsp. ground mace
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, cold and cut into small pieces
Instructions

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a bowl, combine the chopped apples, lemon juice, ground cinnamon, ground mace, and brown sugar. Mix well and pour into a baking dish.

In another bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, rolled oats, granulated sugar, ground mace, and salt. Mix well. Add the cold butter and use your hands or a fork to mix until crumbly.

Sprinkle the crumble mixture evenly over the apple mixture.

Bake for 35-40 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the apples are tender.

Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, if desired.
