How To Make Clove Gingerbread Cookies
Soft and chewy gingerbread cookies with a hint of clove and molasses flavor.

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup molasses
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tsp ground ginger
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp ground cloves
Instructions

In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.

Add the molasses, egg, and vanilla extract, and mix until well combined.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, ginger, cinnamon, and cloves.

Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until a dough forms.

Cover the dough with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.

Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Roll the dough into small balls and place them 2 inches apart on the prepared baking sheet.

Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set and the cookies are lightly browned.

Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
