How To Make Lemongrass Beef Stir-Fry
This dish features tender beef infused with the refreshing aroma of lemongrass, complemented by crispy vegetables.
Serves:
Ingredients
- 1 pound beef flank steak, sliced thinly against the grain
- 2 stalks of lemongrass, finely chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 small onion, sliced
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 2 carrots, peeled and sliced
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon fish sauce
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh cilantro leaves, for garnish
Instructions

In a bowl, mix the beef with lemongrass, garlic, soy sauce, fish sauce, and brown sugar. Marinate for 10 minutes.

Heat the oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat. Add the onion and stir-fry for 1 minute.

Add the marinated beef to the wok and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes, until browned.

Add the bell peppers and carrots, and stir-fry for another 1-2 minutes, until tender-crisp. Season with salt and pepper.

Garnish with cilantro leaves and serve hot with steamed rice.
