Ingredients
- 1 lb mixed wild mushrooms, sliced
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 shallot, minced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup vegetable broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions

In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the shallot and garlic and cook until fragrant, about 2 minutes.

Add the mushrooms to the skillet and cook until they release their liquid and become tender, about 5 minutes.

Pour in the vegetable broth and bring to a simmer. Let it cook for 5 minutes to reduce slightly.

Reduce the heat to low and stir in the heavy cream. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Simmer the sauce for another 5 minutes to thicken slightly. Remove from heat.

Serve the wild mushroom sauce over pasta, steak, or roasted vegetables. Garnish with fresh parsley.
