Ingredients
- 8 oz spaghetti
- 1 lb asparagus, trimmed and cut into 2-inch pieces
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 lemon, zested and juiced
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese, plus more for serving
- 2 tbsp chopped parsley
Instructions

Cook spaghetti according to package directions. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water and drain.

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add asparagus and cook for 5-7 minutes until tender.

Add garlic, lemon zest, and red pepper flakes, cook for 1-2 minutes.

Add cooked spaghetti, lemon juice, Parmesan cheese, and reserved pasta water to the skillet. Stir until well combined and heated through.

Season with salt and pepper. Garnish with chopped parsley and extra Parmesan cheese.
