How To Make Valentine’s Day Cupcakes

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- Red food coloring
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for frosting)
- Heart-shaped sprinkles (for garnish)
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.

In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

Beat in the eggs, one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk.

Add a few drops of red food coloring to the batter and mix until well combined, adding more food coloring as needed to achieve desired color.

Spoon the batter into the cupcake liners, filling each about 2/3 full.

Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Remove from oven and let cool completely.

In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar and a few drops of water to create a thick glaze. Drizzle the glaze over the cooled cupcakes.

Decorate with heart-shaped sprinkles.
