Total: 30 minutes

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 200g paneer, cut into thin strips
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • Salt, to taste
  • 4 chapatis (Indian flatbreads)
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/2 cup sliced onions
  • 1/4 cup chopped tomatoes
  • 2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
  • 2 tbsp tamarind chutney
  • 2 tbsp mint-coriander chutney
  • Oil, for frying

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix together ginger-garlic paste, red chili powder, turmeric powder, and salt. Add paneer strips to the bowl and coat them well with the spice mixture.

  2. In a separate bowl, mix sesame seeds and all-purpose flour. Coat the marinated paneer strips with the sesame seed mixture.

  3. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Fry the sesame-coated paneer strips until golden and crispy. Transfer them to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.

  4. Warm the chapatis in a pan or microwave. Place a chapati on a clean surface and spread 1 teaspoon of tamarind chutney and 1 teaspoon of mint-coriander chutney on it.

  5. Place a handful of shredded lettuce, sliced onions, tomatoes, and chopped coriander leaves on top of the chutney.

  6. Add a few crispy sesame paneer strips on top of the vegetables. Roll the chapati tightly to form a wrap.

  7. Repeat the process for the remaining chapatis and filling ingredients.

  8. Cut each wrap in half and serve hot with extra chutney on the side.
