How To Make Quattro Formaggi Grilled Cheese Sandwich

Ingredients

  • 8 slices of bread
  • 4 tbsp butter, softened
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded fontina cheese
  • 1 cup crumbled gorgonzola cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat a griddle or skillet over medium heat.

  2. Spread butter on one side of each bread slice.

  3. Place 4 bread slices, buttered side down, on the griddle.

  4. Top each slice with a quarter cup of mozzarella, cheddar, fontina, and gorgonzola cheese.

  5. Cover each sandwich with another bread slice, buttered side up.

  6. Cook for 3-5 minutes, until the bottom bread is golden brown. Flip and cook for an additional 3-5 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the bread is golden brown.

  7. Remove from heat and let cool for a minute before serving.
