How To Make Mince Pie Baklava

Ingredients
- 1 package of phyllo pastry sheets
- 1 cup of melted butter
- 1 cup of minced fruit mince
- 1 cup of chopped nuts (such as almonds or walnuts)
- 1/2 cup of granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon of ground cloves
- 1/4 teaspoon of ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon of ground allspice
- Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.

In a bowl, mix together the minced fruit mince, chopped nuts, granulated sugar, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, and allspice.

Lay a sheet of phyllo pastry in the baking dish and brush it with melted butter. Repeat this process, layering 5 sheets of phyllo and buttering each one.

Spread half of the mince mixture evenly over the layered phyllo.

Repeat the layering process with 5 more sheets of phyllo and butter.

Spread the remaining mince mixture over the second layer of phyllo.

Layer the remaining sheets of phyllo on top, brushing each one with melted butter.

Using a sharp knife, cut the baklava into squares or diamonds.

Bake for 40 minutes, or until golden brown.

Remove from the oven and let it cool completely.

Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
