How To Make Lychee & Ginger Sorbet

Who says vegetarians don’t get to enjoy savory meals? A taste of these authentic vegetarian recipes will make you change your mind. So, you just might want to go vegetarian after your first bite.

Total: 4 hours 10 minutes (including freezing time)

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 2 cups lychees, peeled and deseeded
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

Instructions

  1. In a blender, combine the lychees, sugar, water, ginger, and lemon juice. Blend until smooth.

  2. Pour the mixture into a shallow dish or ice cream maker and freeze for 2 hours.

  3. Remove from the freezer and use a fork to break up any ice crystals. Return to the freezer.

  4. Repeat step 3 every hour for the next 2 hours or until the sorbet is firm and creamy.

  5. Serve the lychee & ginger sorbet in chilled dessert bowls or cones.
