How To Make Cabbage Steaks with Apple, Goat’s Cheese & Pecans

Ingredients
- 1 small cabbage, cut into 4 thick slices
- 1 apple, thinly sliced
- 4 oz goat’s cheese, crumbled
- 1/2 cup pecans, chopped
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions

Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).

Place cabbage steaks on a baking sheet and brush both sides with olive oil. Season with salt and pepper.

Roast in the oven for 15 minutes, then flip the cabbage steaks and roast for another 5 minutes until tender and slightly browned.

While the cabbage steaks are roasting, heat a skillet over medium heat. Add the pecans and toast for 3-4 minutes until golden brown and fragrant. Remove from heat and set aside.

Top each cabbage steak with apple slices, crumbled goat’s cheese, and toasted pecans.

Return the baking sheet to the oven and broil for 3-4 minutes until the cheese is slightly melted.
