Ingredients
- 1 pre-made pie crust
- 3 apples, thinly sliced
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter, diced
- 1 egg, beaten
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

Place the pre-made pie crust into a 9-inch pie dish and set aside.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the sliced apples, shredded cheddar cheese, granulated sugar, flour, ground cinnamon, and salt. Mix well until the apples are evenly coated.

Pour the apple mixture into the pie crust, spreading it out evenly.

Dot the top of the pie with the diced butter.

Place the second pie crust on top of the filling. Pinch the edges of the crusts together to seal the pie.

Brush the top of the pie with the beaten egg, creating an egg wash for a golden crust.

Cut a few slits on the top crust to allow steam to escape during baking.

Place the pie on a baking sheet and bake for 40 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.

Remove from the oven and let cool for at least 15 minutes before serving.
