- 2 cups fresh blackberries
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice

In a saucepan, combine the blackberries, sugar, and lemon juice.

Cook over medium heat for about 5-7 minutes, until the blackberries soften and release their juices.

Use a fork or a masher to gently mash the blackberries and break them down.

Continue cooking for another 3-5 minutes, until the mixture thickens slightly.

Remove from heat and let the coulis cool completely.

If desired, strain the coulis through a fine mesh sieve to remove any seeds.
