  • 2 cups fresh basil leaves
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1/4 cup pine nuts
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil

Instructions

  1. In a food processor, add basil leaves, garlic, pine nuts, and Parmesan cheese. Pulse until finely chopped.

  2. With the processor running, slowly drizzle in the olive oil until the mixture is smooth and well combined.

  3. Taste and season with salt and pepper if desired.

  4. Serve the basil pesto with pasta, on sandwiches, or as a dip.
