How To Make Banana Bubelach with Mulled Spice Fruit Compote

Ingredients
- 2 ripe bananas
- 1 package of puff pastry
- 2 tablespoons of butter, melted
- 2 tablespoons of sugar
- 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon of ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon of ground cloves
- 1 cup of mixed fruits (such as apples, pears, and berries)
- 1/4 cup of orange juice
- 1 tablespoon of honey
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

In a bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth.

Roll out the puff pastry and cut it into 4 equal-sized rectangles.

Spread the mashed bananas over each pastry rectangle, leaving a small border.

Fold the pastry rectangles in half and press the edges to seal.

Brush the tops of the pastries with melted butter and sprinkle with sugar.

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.

While the pastries are baking, prepare the mulled spice fruit compote.

In a saucepan, combine the mixed fruits, orange juice, honey, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves.

Simmer over medium heat for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the fruits are tender and the liquid has thickened slightly.

Serve the warm banana bubelach with the mulled spice fruit compote on the side.
