Ingredients
- 4 medium-sized potatoes, thinly sliced
- 2 large tomatoes, sliced
- 1 cup Gruyère cheese, grated
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking dish with butter or cooking spray.

In a bowl, combine the minced garlic, thyme leaves, salt, and pepper. Set aside.

Arrange a layer of sliced potatoes in the prepared baking dish, overlapping slightly.

Sprinkle a layer of the garlic and thyme mixture over the potatoes, followed by a layer of sliced tomatoes.

Repeat layers until all the potatoes and tomatoes are used, ending with a layer of tomatoes.

Pour the heavy cream evenly over the top layer of tomatoes and sprinkle the grated Gruyère cheese on top.

Cover the dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 40 minutes.

Remove the foil and bake for an additional 20 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the potatoes are tender.

Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!
