Juicy shrimp tossed in a sweet and savory soy garlic sauce.
Serves:
Ingredients
- 1 pound of shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Green onions, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions

Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Add shrimp and cook until lightly golden, about 2-3 minutes each side.

Remove shrimp from pan and set aside.

Add garlic to the same pan and sauté until fragrant.

In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, water, and cornstarch.

Add the sauce to the pan and bring to a simmer.

Stir until the sauce thickens, about 2-3 minutes.

Add the shrimp back to the pan and toss to coat with sauce.

Garnish with chopped green onions and serve.
