How To Make Vegan Banana Bread

A delicious and moist banana bread that is completely vegan, perfect for a sweet treat or breakfast option.

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/3 cup plant-based milk (such as almond or soy milk)
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil, melted
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt
  • Optional: 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.

  2. In a large bowl, mix together the mashed bananas, plant-based milk, maple syrup, coconut oil, and vanilla extract.

  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.

  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until well combined. If desired, fold in the chopped walnuts or chocolate chips.

  5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.

  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  7. Remove from the oven and let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
