A delicious and comforting dessert made with fresh apples and a crunchy oat topping.
Serves:
Ingredients
- 4 medium-sized apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 cup almond flour
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1/4 cup coconut oil, melted
- 1/4 cup chopped nuts (optional)
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a mixing bowl, combine the sliced apples, cinnamon, and vanilla extract. Mix well and transfer to a baking dish.

In the same bowl, combine the rolled oats, almond flour, maple syrup, melted coconut oil, chopped nuts (if using), and a pinch of salt. Mix until crumbly.

Spread the oat mixture evenly over the apples in the baking dish.

Bake for 35 minutes or until the apples are tender and the topping is golden brown.

Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Serve warm, alone or with vegan ice cream or whipped coconut cream on top.
