How To Make Turkey Tikka Masala
A flavorful and aromatic dish made with tender turkey pieces cooked in a creamy and spicy masala sauce.
Serves:
Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs of boneless turkey, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 cup plain yogurt
- 2 tbsp garlic paste
- 2 tbsp ginger paste
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 2 tsp Kashmiri red chili powder
- 1 tsp garam masala powder
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 large onion, finely chopped
- 2 tomatoes, pureed
- 1 cup heavy cream
- Salt to taste
- Fresh cilantro, for garnish
Instructions

In a bowl, mix together yogurt, garlic paste, ginger paste, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and garam masala powder.

Add the turkey pieces to the marinade and let it sit for at least 30 minutes or overnight in the refrigerator.

Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat and add the chopped onions. Cook until the onions are soft and golden brown.

Add the tomato puree and cook for a few minutes until the oil starts to separate from the mixture.

Add the marinated turkey pieces along with the marinade and cook for about 5 minutes until the turkey is lightly browned.

Reduce the heat to low and add the heavy cream. Simmer for 15-20 minutes until the turkey is cooked through and the sauce has thickened.

Season with salt to taste and garnish with fresh cilantro.

Serve hot with rice or naan bread.
