These delicious muffins are a spooky treat perfect for Halloween. The rich chocolate fudge swirls on top resemble spider webs, adding a creepy touch to the classic muffin.

Ingredients
- 1 and 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- for the spider web topping:
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tbsp milk
- 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C). Line a muffin tin with paper liners.

In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, granulated sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

In a separate bowl, combine the melted butter, buttermilk, eggs, and vanilla extract. Whisk until smooth.

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix. Fold in the chocolate chips.

Divide the batter evenly among the muffin cups, filling each about 3/4 full.

In a small bowl, mix together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract to make the spider web topping.

Use a spoon to drizzle the spider web topping in a circular motion on top of each muffin.

Take a toothpick or skewer and drag it from the center of the muffin towards the edges, creating a spider web pattern.
