How To Make Spiced Christmas Biscuits

These spiced Christmas biscuits are a festive treat that is perfect for the holiday season.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • 1/4 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).

  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

  3. Add the molasses and milk to the butter mixture and mix well.

  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, cloves, salt, baking powder, and baking soda.

  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing well after each addition.

  6. Roll the dough into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter, and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  7. Flatten the dough balls slightly using the back of a spoon or your hand.

  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.

  9. Allow the biscuits to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
