Ingredients
- 1 cup red wine
- 1 cup beef or chicken broth
- 1 shallot, minced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions

In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.

Add the minced shallot and garlic, and cook until translucent.

Pour in the red wine and bring to a simmer. Let it cook for about 5 minutes to reduce and concentrate the flavors.

Add the broth to the saucepan and continue simmering for another 20 minutes or until the sauce thickens slightly.
