How To Make Prosecco Cake
A light and refreshing cake infused with the bubbles of Prosecco, perfect for any celebratory occasion.
Serves:
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/4 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup Prosecco
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar, for dusting
Instructions
-
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.
-
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
-
In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
-
Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, alternating with the Prosecco and milk. Begin and end with the flour mixture, mixing just until combined.
-
Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
-
Bake for 25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
-
Remove from the oven and let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
-
Once cooled, dust the top of the cake with powdered sugar.
-
Serve slices of Prosecco cake and enjoy!
