How To Make Plum Jam
A sweet and tangy jam made from fresh plums, perfect for spreading on toast or adding to yogurt.
Serves:
Ingredients
- 1 kg plums, pitted and chopped
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 lemon, juice and zest
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions

In a large saucepan, combine the plums, sugar, lemon juice, and zest. Let sit for 10 minutes to allow the sugar to dissolve.

Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a boil. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 45-60 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the jam has thickened.

Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract. Let cool for a few minutes, then transfer to sterilized jars.

Allow the jam to cool completely before sealing the jars. Store in the refrigerator for up to 3 months.
