- 1 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup cold unsalted butter, cubed
- 3-4 tablespoons ice water

Add the cold butter cubes to the flour mixture. Use a pastry blender or your fingers to cut the butter into the flour until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

Gradually add the ice water, 1 tablespoon at a time, while gently mixing the dough with a fork. Mix just until the dough comes together and forms a ball.

Transfer the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead it a few times to ensure all the ingredients are well incorporated.
