How To Make Mushroom Sauce
This rich and flavorful mushroom sauce is the perfect accompaniment to any dish, adding a burst of umami flavor.

Ingredients
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup chicken or vegetable broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
Instructions

In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.

Add the onion and garlic and sauté until softened and fragrant, about 3 minutes.

Add the mushrooms and cook until they release their moisture and begin to brown, about 5 minutes.

Pour in the broth and simmer for 10 minutes.

Stir in the heavy cream and simmer for an additional 5 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened slightly.
