How To Make Ham & Cheese Croquetas
These crispy croquetas are filled with delicious ham and cheese, making them a perfect appetizer or snack.
Serves:
Ingredients
- 1 cup of cooked ham, finely chopped
- 1 cup of grated cheese
- 3 tbsp of butter
- 1/4 cup of all-purpose flour
- 1 cup of milk
- 1/4 tsp of salt
- 1/4 tsp of black pepper
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 cup of breadcrumbs
Instructions

In a large pan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the flour and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.

Gradually pour in the milk, whisking constantly to avoid lumps. Cook until thickened, about 3-4 minutes.

Stir in the chopped ham, grated cheese, salt, and black pepper. Cook for an additional 2 minutes until well combined.

Transfer the mixture to a bowl and let it cool completely in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.

Once the mixture has chilled, shape it into small cylinders or balls.

Dip each croqueta into the beaten eggs, then roll them in the breadcrumbs until fully coated.

Heat oil in a deep frying pan and deep fry the croquetas until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.

Remove from the oil and drain on a paper towel.
