How To Make Easy Jam Sponge
This delicious jam sponge cake is light, fluffy, and perfect for a quick dessert or tea-time treat.

Ingredients
- 150g self-raising flour
- 150g unsalted butter, softened
- 150g caster sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 4 tbsp jam (any flavor)
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease and line a round cake tin with parchment paper.

In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then add the vanilla extract and mix well.

Gradually fold in the flour until fully combined.

Pour half of the batter into the prepared cake tin and spread evenly.

Dollop spoonfuls of jam evenly over the batter, leaving a small border around the edges.

Top with the remaining batter and smooth the surface with a spatula.

Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes or until golden brown and a skewer inserted into the center comes out clean.

Allow the cake to cool in the tin for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Serve sliced with a dusting of powdered sugar, if desired.
