How To Make Dairy-Free Chicken Tacos Recipe

Enjoy a delicious and dairy-free twist on classic chicken tacos, with a zesty and flavorful filling that’s perfect for any fiesta!

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into small pieces
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 8 corn tortillas
  • Optional toppings: diced avocado, sliced jalapeño, chopped tomatoes, hot sauce

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

  2. Add diced onion and minced garlic, and sauté for 3-4 minutes until softened.

  3. Add chicken pieces to skillet, and cook for 6-7 minutes until browned and cooked through.

  4. Stir in chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, black pepper, and lime juice, and cook for another 2-3 minutes until fragrant.

  5. Remove skillet from heat, and stir in chopped cilantro.

  6. Warm tortillas in the microwave or on a hot skillet.

  7. Serve chicken filling on top of tortillas, and garnish with desired toppings.
